SNOWMAN KIT
(My Nephew Theo Enjoying His Snowman Kit)
Every year my best friend and I go Christmas shopping together. We like to go early in the season to get a great jump start on our Christmas lists! This year while we were out shopping we ran across these awesome snowman kits. The only thing was they were $40. WOW!!! I don’t know about you but I buy for a lot of kids. The kits would make a great addition to their gifts. I got home and started thinking about how I could create the bags myself. I spent a total of $70 and I made 6 kits. That comes out to only about $12 a kit! Let me tell you they were a hit! Who doesn’t like building a snowman, right?
I bought the bags at Michael’s
I got all of the materials for the inside at AC Moore
I included the following:
3 sets of eyes
2 sets of buttons
1 Carrot Nose
1 Hat
1 Felt Scarf
1 Bell necklace
I also purchased wooden dowels and hot glued them to the above items so you can stick them into the snow.
I used my cricut to create a stencil to personalize each bag. I created all of the words and names. I then welded them together in the craft room and used them as a stencil. I used a sharpie to trace the stencils onto the bags and then painted them with acrylic paint.
Be creative! You could add anything to the bag you want! Please feel free to comment and let me know some of the awesome ideas you come up with to add to the bags. This project was so much fun! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
