I don’t know about you but one of the things that drives me crazy during the day is “can I have snack?” “I’m hungry!” So to make my life a bit easier I started the “snack basket”. I labeled each basket with each child’s name and filled them with the amount of snacks that I want them to have through out the day. I try to fill it with healthy snacks and add one special treat. Once the “snack basket” is empty, they don’t get any more snacks.
I love that this teaches them self control. They learn to be aware of what they have and when they want it.
The kids love it because they have control and I love it because they no longer have to ask me a hundred times for a snack!
