I don’t know about you but I don’t believe I should be paying my children to do certain chores. They need to grow and learn that not every job they do is rewarded with money. They need to find the joys of keeping their rooms clean as one day they will have homes of their own. I came up with a list of chores that I expect to be done each day. These are not chores that earn money these are chores because our children are a part of our household and they need to help. I did however make a separate list that has jobs that I am willing to pay for and how much I am willing to pay for them. I think it is important to teach our children the value of helping without getting something in return.
